Many individuals that nervous about sharing their personal information with a stranger. At Eagles Counseling, we do offer a free 15 minute consultation to new patients. One of our therapists will be glad to talk to you in order to provide you with information about our programs and services.  The therapist will also answer questions that you have about your insurance and benefits.  If you prefer a specific therapist to do your initial consultation, please let us know.

    Using Your Insurance Benefits

Many individuals seek therapy services for a variety of reasons. Some individuals see therapy for a mental health or addiction condition.  While others seek therapy for life stressors such as couples problems, work stress, and bullying.  In order to use your insurance for therapy, you must have a mental health or addiction condition. The insurance company is not paying your therapist to talk to you.  They are paying your therapist to treat you for a mental health or addition condition. In order for this practice to get paid by the insurance, we must submit a claim with a diagnostic code. The purpose of the diagnostic code is to demonstrate medical necessity for therapy.

This information is important to know because there are a lot of people that have been diagnosed with a condition at other practices without their knowledge or consent.  At Eagles Counseling, we believe in transparency.  We also do not believe in turning clients away.  At Eagles Counseling, you can receive affordable therapy without using your insurance. We offer affordable flexible rates. Please contact us if you would like to know more information.

    Diagnostic Mental Health Evaluations

At Eagles Counseling we provide diagnostic mental health evaluations. We have licensed staff that are qualified to perform mental health evaluations.  These evaluations can be used for insurance, school, legal purposes, and disability.  It is important for you to check the credentialing requirements of the school, legal entity, and disability insurance before scheduling your appointment. We do not do forensic evaluations. We do not do evaluations for Social Security.
